People & Planes
Human progress is like being on an airplane. Humanity is constantly reaching for new heights to achieve both a literal and figurative cruising altitude. Such heights, distances, and speeds have been achieved through a mix of technological advancement as well as a strange sense of wanderlust we all possess. Just as flights become more advanced like the world around us, there is still a place for the human touch in the airplane as can be seen by the presence of flight attendants. Just like life itself, riding in an airplane means accepting the knowledge that there is a literal thin margin between life and death. As one rides in the tin can into the sky and beyond, there are only several inches of material that separate one and the sky that surrounds.
Humanity is like an airplane. Reaching for greater distances and heights through a combination of technological advancement and romanticization of what lies on the other side of the journey, while embracing the thin margins that dictate life.
